If she had more screen time I feel like I could have started to like her a lot. Curse you for not having 24 episodes, PuraOre! >:/ Even 16 episodes would have helped!
*sigh* The modern cour system is such a disservice to SO many shows. -__-;
for reals the 12 ep anime trend lol either way it was quite intresting hopefully someday we will get a sequel
Finally the Victory dance!!!
And so ends cute girls going cute things T^T lol
Imagine if they lost the game, lol
Is it just me or is everybody saying lol lol oh wait
5/10 because they didn't wear ice skates for the victory dance. This disturbs the story immersion build around ice hockey.
Like I've been saying this whole time: the fact that they can dance on ice in normal boots without slipping completely ruins my immersion and suspension of disbelief.
They had on special non-sip ice boots lol
Right. That was the biggest disappointment. After all that build up, seeing them dancing on the rink wearing filly dress feels so weird. At least they should dance in their hockey outfit; and the dance and song are nothing special either.
Japanese females wearing zettai ryouiki in snowy winter half-counters this point.
Man, as ridiculous as this whole thing was, the Hockey is absolutely solid. I am impressed, couldn't watch the "Idols on Ice" stuff #notinmyrink .
Still aside from the Idol stuff, this had a classic sports movie feel and ending so not bad.
That idol stuff doesn't work with hockey for me,only sport where idols fit in was pretty derby musume(the horse girls)
Time for one final round of cute girls doing hockey!
Go Dream Monkeys!
Gotta love CGDCT xD
PuraOre is brought to you by studio C2C, the studio behind Hitoribocchi, Harukana Recieve, and recently Tsukimichi and Majo de Tabitabi.
I think we all know this is essentially cute girls doing hockey AKA Love Live Hockey Edition. And this is CLEARLY an ad for the mobile game it's based on. I'm just gonna be frank, not only did this show drop the ball hard in the hockey department, this show managed to p*ss off the Canadians. Well, more like disappoint, but still.
If you want a better context, watch Glass Reflection's first impressions on PuraOre on YouTube when you get the chance.
I'm not gonna go into plot and characters, they're what you'd expect. The hockey aspect of the show is the highlight of the show, but it's so few and far between. And it's apparent the idol aspect was tacked on last second, like this show WANTS to be Love Live, heck, Manaka looks like an offbrand version of Chika Takami from Love Live Sunshine. Plus the writing, especially considering it's done by Machida Touko...my God, she's a terrible writer....this is the worst she's done.
Overall, we all knew what we're here for, but TBH...this could've been better, I've seen too many CGDCT anime to give this a pass. That said, if you're a sports fan, watch something else, and if you're a hockey fan, ESPECIALLY if you're Canadian, avoid this. If you're into CGDCT anime, normally I'd recommend checking other CGDCT anime worth your dollar, but it does it job.
Final Verdict: 5/10
You following MAL review bud?
No, why?
Why don't you put your review on the title page? The only people who will see it here are people who already watched the show.
Anyway, this was basically like CGDCT Mighty Ducks, and everybody loved Mighty Ducks. It was every 90s youth sports movie cliche plus many anime cliches crammed together. I mean, they basically won in the end with the power of flashbacks.
And yet it pushed the buttons. If you like those cliches, you'll like this. Even if you're a real hockey fan.
The idol aspect should have been a bigger part of the show imo. They could have actually shown the girls gaining a following bc the idol stuff, and bringing more people to hockey. Also they barely ever show the other 10-20 players on their team. Don't know if cost-cutting or laziness by the studio.
Other members besides the 6
"What an easy win"
But seriously though, it's like the entire match just the same team playing on both sides, it's like their senior just sit there and watch the whole match without doing anything
Happy birthday to VA's Ryouta Suzuki, Tomori Kusunoki, and Tomomi Mineuchi!
1. Ryouta Suzuki is known as the voice of Yu Ishigami from Kaguya-sama, as well as voicing Red from Banished from the Hero's Party, Yukimaru from Fena Pirate Princess, and more!
2. Tomori Kusunoki is best known, especially to Love Live fans, as Setsuna Yuki from Love Live Nijigasaki. She's also the voice of Misha from Misfit at Demon Academy, Natsune from Deca Dance, Futaba Igarashi from Senpai ga Uzai, LLEEN from SAO Gun Gale, Neiru from Wonder Egg, and more!
3. Tomomi Mineuchi is known as the voice of Ilulu from Dragon Maid S2!
Also, HBD to Megumi Fushiguro from Jujutsu Kaisen and Tobio Kageyama from Haikyuu!
Last episode finally for this series I have to say it was pretty decent to watch but other then that very casual and enjoyable not only that congrats to the dream monkeys team for winning against Snow White very nice playing indeed not to mention for those who play mobile game the game has shifted to March 15,2022 overall very heartwarming when Manaka and yue hugged each other :3 after the rest of the team hugged each other OwO!
“let’s continue the story in game!”
no season 2 or what ?
/cry lol
It's a trailer for the game
I love dancing monkey on ice. Good job dream.
bruh
Their journey is so beautiful huhuhu... when they said "bonds of our heart connects the puck"... I knew they would win hahaha
They really did well on promoting the game... I'mma play the it soon hahaha
"she's getting flustered" she says from the penalty box, after getting so annoyed she rammed into someone
I admit, the anime about girl ice hockey team sounds interesting at first and the first episode already hinted that they will throw Idol into the mix; that sounds like a promising premise.
However, in the end, it's not really focusing on anything and just stepping around both settings. The hockey part is a total lackluster. The idol part has been almost forgotten until the last episode. Worst yet, wearing frilly dress dancing on the ice rink while wearing boots really break immersion (and the dance and the song themselves are very forgettable).
It's just another show that tried to ride on CGDCT and Idol trend but ended up not being excel in either. Overall, I can only rate this 5/10. At least it has a good OP.
Didn't they put a mat down to dance on? I think they put a mat down.
12 eps is rly too short
What a great way to end the anime, enjoyed the song. And hope they Win the World Cup.
Ara Ara energy lol
As a Japanese hockey player this show tried to mash up two things that didn’t blend in so well , idols and hockey just doesn’t work bruh also I don’t like how it went from winning champs B to winning against freaking Canada
There is a GAME?!?! Story continues in a game.....
Was decent enough, but for a sport anime it was a bit lacking the games. For a slice of life, the characters werent that interesting. For a girls making cute stuff it was nice, but the gear was a bit in the way.
Decent series, certainly had its cute moments as expected from a CGDCT but I found the ice-hockey side really lacking and also the idol dance thing felt way too random. That said I kinda hope we'll get a more tough ice-hockey sports anime someday.
*sigh* I'm not gonna play your damn game. >:(
But if you ever make a second season, I'll be there.
"She's a world-class junior player, after all. But we have..." RIKO! :D
Or, you know, Yu. Whatever. >_>
I definitely wanted to see more of the game, and I wanted Yu to actually stand out more, but... good job, girls.
We have...flashbacks!
A really good and beautiful episode !! And Mami is with them at the end
This wasn't GREAT...but by no means was it TERRIBLE. I always enjoyed seeing the Gals just interacting with one another...Manaka's goofiness always put a Smile on my face. Congratulations Gals! DREAM MONKEYS FO LIFE!! 😎
Snow White goalie is pretty good as well.
Naisu, Kao!
Oi, wtf, Maya. That was an actual Roughing, that would be a penalty even in the male hockey.
Damn, Eri is good. Nice PKing.
The PP was solid but too few shots.
FAINARU SECOND!
BIKUTORII DANSU!
You gotta wonder if the other players needed to learn the choreo as well.
And they still have the normal boots, lol.
Heh, they actually told us to play the game directly, LMAO :D
I'm gonna miss this. Hockey anime was absolutely right up my alley. Almost as much as the football ones.
Plus with cute girls and aidorus? Absolutely best thing.
And the Opening is absolutely glorious.
Now to wait for the gacha.
At least Nakama Power nor Idol-ness wasn't overbearing in this series.
Decent reconciliation by Eri & Yuu.
Re Nakama Power, serious question, does it make Japanese feel better about their typical rigid lives? because I was apathetic at best to that cliche since my teens, it's too extreme.
Unlike Takt Op Destiny, this series straight up says to continue story in game.
It connected! The puck!
the voice is broken please fix the video/ re upload
yes, another 12 ep long ad for a game.....
I hope they release the game in En soon
dang, last episode? ='(
You strawheaded harlot what the hell do you think you're doing
Maya: "OKAY!"
